Super Mario Bros. Mushroom Birthday Cake!
Fun fun fun Super Mario cake! Thanks Heather, for coming up with this idea and letting me create it for you. :o) This is a two tiered golden vanilla cake with raspberry filling and all buttercream frosting. The "mushroom cap" is rice krispy treat covered in buttercream.

For a baby shower :o). Teapot and cup are made of rice krispy treat covered in buttercream frosting. The baby in the cup (which my children told me was "Gross! You're going to drink the baby?" lol) is made of just buttercream. The 11" x 15" cake is triple chocolate fudge with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. It was a very tasty combo, if I do say so myself! I have to say, I LOVE RICE KRISPY TREATS and the multitude of things you can sculpt from them. :o) I know that the cake purists out there will say that if it's not cake it doesn't count, but I say if you can sculpt it and eat it and it looks and tastes great then by all means DO IT! I will continue to use rice krispy treat on many more cakes, I'm sure. This one was loved by the mom to be (a tea drinker, of course) and that is what makes me the happiest about the cakes I make.

Thomas the Tank Engine Birthday Cake
Kouta's "Thomas the Tank Engine" cake. :o) 11" x 15" golden vanilla cake with chocolate creme filling and buttercream frosting. Thomas is free-handed here. Now, I would really have loved to make this a 3-D cake, but again, time is a factor for me . . . in that I never seem to have enough of it! If ever I'm able to quit my day job, then I can spend more time on these fun fun fun creations . . . until then, I just have to do what I can. :o)

Wolf Silhouette Birthday Cake
Well, I WANTED to spend a lot more time on this cake and make it kind of cool . . . but with 3 other cake events the same weekend, well, the family cake was kind of the after-thought, lol. Not lesser in love, just lesser in time, ha ha. This is a two layer yellow cake with chocolate creme filling and chocolate fudge frosting. The moon and wolf silhouette are buttercream frosting, free-handed. It would be kind of fun to do an entire cake in yellow or white, and then cover it with different silhouettes of animals, flowers, etc. Or a cityscape!!! Yes, a cityscape would be very cool and may be coming soon to a cake blog near you . . .

Best Wishes Good-Bye Cake
A going away cake for a friend at work! This is a two tiered french vanilla cake with vanilla creme filling and buttercream frosting. Next time I think I'll do black with the pink . . . I think that would look tres chic against the yellow. :o)

I just LOVE white on white with cakes! Especially for sweet, special occasions, like baptisms. :o) This one is made for our dear friends daughter who was just baptized this past weekend. Such a great occasion! Her cake is golden vanilla with french vanilla creme filling and buttercream icing. I really think the white keeps it simple, but the cornelli lace and the cross make it elegant.

Simply Sweet Daisy Cake
I made this cake for an auction for my P.E.O. Chapter. We had our annual Bunco party/Silent Auction and this was one of my contributions. It's simple, but sweet, I think. The cake is 2 layers of golden vanilla cake with french vanilla creme filling and buttercream frosting. I guess that makes it sweet in more ways than one, lol!

Good Luck Cupcakes
Just some very simple cupcakes to say good luck to a friend moving away . . . chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting.

Pink Poodles in Paris
I didn't plan on this cake being so big . . . but big it was! It's 3 tiers, 6", 9" and 12", and each is two layers of french vanilla cake with vanilla creme filling and buttercream frosting. The 10 roses on top (1 for each year for the birthday girl!) are made of marshmallow fondant. This was such a FUN cake to work on. Since I have 3 boys, working on girlie cakes is a treat for me! And I really did like how the poodles turned out. This was for a sweet little girl whose middle name is Paris, so she gravitates toward everything French and Pink Poodles in Paris was her pick this year. :o) Happy Birthday to you Miss Marli!!!

BOISE STATE FOOTBALL BIRTHDAY CAKE
Made this cake for a young friend of my son's . . . It's just a simple 9" 2 layer chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling, but it is my favorite subject! Go Broncos!!! Frosting is all buttercream and logo is free-handed . . .

Another FCA Cake :o)
Another one for the cake ministry . . . this one I made during the weekend of the Humanitarian Bowl . . . it was for an FCA event in Boise. Always fun and fulfilling to help support the Fellowship of Christian Athletes! This cake is an 11 x 15 vanilla cake with vanilla filling, I think, ha ha. It's been a few weeks . . . I may have made it half choc and half vanilla but either way, it's CAKE! lol
I wasn't too impressed with my writing on this cake . . . I was in a hurry to finish it on a busy evening. Ah well . . . next time I'll do better. ;o)

Oregon Ducks Birthday Cake
Well, this one was a STRETCH for me, being an Oregon Duck cake and all . . . lol. As a BSU Bronco fan (their biggest, I think) I had to put my pride away and bring out the sportsmanship to get this cake done. It's 11 x 15 and half chocolate with chocolate mousse filling, half golden vanilla with vanilla creme filling and all buttercream frosting. The football is rice krispy treat. The design is all free-handed.

18th Birthday: Zebra Print, Music and Dancing
What's black and white and red all over? LOL This is a two tiered golden vanilla cake with vanilla creme filling and buttercream frosting. It was for an 18 year olds birthday, from one of her best friends who just wanted to give her a cool looking cake with things she liked, incorporating music, dancing and a boom box, plus zebra print and the color red. Here's how it turned out! Fun, huh?!!

Ugly Sweater Cake
This cake was made for an "Ugly Sweater" Christmas party! I love that idea. I also loved how the cake turned out, would be fun to make more of these and make them all different, so many "ugly" sweater designs to choose from out there, ha ha! This cake is an 11 x 15 golden vanilla cake with vanilla creme filling and all buttercream frosting, free-hand designs.

Ladybugs, Butterflies, & Bees 1st Birthday Cake
This cake duo was very fun to make! It matches the party ware called Ladybugs, butterflies, & bees. Cake is golden vanilla with vanilla creme filling and buttercream frosting. The design is free-handed. The smash cake is all cake and frosting, no filling.
