18 Carved Birthday Cake with Baseball and Football Theme

"Driving the Green" 18th Birthday Golf Cake

This special cake was requested by an aunt for her much loved nephew. She wanted to include his truck and golf, two of his favorite things. Chocolate cake with French vanilla creme filling and buttercream frosting and marshmallow fondant accents. Quote on the front says: There's more than one way to drive the green.

View from top:

By the sand trap: The #1 thing about trouble . . . Is don't get into more."

On the back: In golf, as in life, it is the follow through that makes the difference.

By the water hazard: Of all the hazards, fear is the worst.

Retro Eighteenth Birthday

This is a fun cake I did for a fun loving 18 year old. He wanted bright retro colors, and he wanted it to be about him. So I put him on the cake, with his shades, shorts and tennies, and added a soccer ball, basketball and some books. Lots more to this guy, but could never fit it all on one cake! 3 tiers, all chocolate fudge with chocolate fudge filling. Buttercream frosting with fondant accents.
