A 9" 2 layer cake for my hubby. Cherry chip with vanilla creme filling and buttercream frosting. Note to self: don't let thevteenagers carry the cake. They are pleading the 5th, but this cake did not make it the table looking like this, lol. Let's just say it was a little "unbalanced." Kind of like teenagers.

Cougar Football End of Season Cake

For my favorite football players end of season (and end of their 4 years together) I made this big 22"x15" half chocolate, half vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and chocolate mousse filling. The cougar is hand formed from rice krispy treat and covered in marshmallow fondant. Love my Cougars!

Pink and Purple Birthday Cake with Marshmallow Fondant Flowers

My only directives for this cake were that it had to be pink, purple and green, with fondant flowers.
:0 ) I tried to make it fun, fancy, and whimsical, and I do think it turned out alright! This one is a 10" 2-layered chocolate fudge cake, with vanilla creme filling, buttercream frosting and marshmallow fondant accents. Happy birthday to my beautiful niece, Gracie! Love her so much!

"Arbor Friends" Owl Baby Shower Cake

A baby shower cake based on the "Arbor Friends" line at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Bottom tier is chocolate fudge, top tier is vanilla. Both are filled with chocolate mousse, and covered with buttercream frosting with marshmallow fondant decorations.

Whimsical Topsy Turvy Birthday Cake!

Topsy turvy and whimsical cake I made for the two daughters of a coworker. The cake is vanilla with raspberry filling. It's covered with buttercream frosting underneath marshmallow fondant. I loved how it turned out! Was honored to make it, as the sisters chose it in place of their traditional separate birthday dinners out!

Adorable Owl Birthday Cake

Directions for this CUTE owl cake can be found here: http://inspirecreatebake.blogspot.com/2011/03/whoo-whoo-owl-cake.html I made this for a friend of my son's who requested it. I used 6 inch cakes, filled 3/4 full with batter so they would "dome." Then I froze them before carving, to make that easier. It's also easier to frost a carved cake when it's frozen, fewer messy crumbs.
Its vanilla funfetti cake with buttercream frosting inside and marshmallow fondant outside. Feet weren't in the original, but if you have to have orange fondant for a beak, might as well throw on some feet! ; )

Overall, I loved how it turned out!

UnFROGettable Birthday Cake!

Unfortunately, my son told me he wanted himself on his cake as I was
making it lol! So, the person is not crafted that greatly, but I do
like the frog. : ) This is yellow cake, chocolate mousse filling,
chocolate fudge frosting and marshmallow fondant decorations. Would
have liked to have more time to make this look better, oh well!

Zoo Birthday Cake

Made this zoo cake after having the theme changed on me overnight! Was originally going to be a lacrosse cake, but the birthday girls parents changed their minds. : ) I would have liked to spend more time on the fondant animals, but I think it still turned out okay. It's vanilla cake, raspberry filling, buttercream frosting and marshmallow fondant decorations.

ISU Bengal and CWI "Unicorn" cousins college cake

TWO cakes in one! This cake was for a family party honoring 2 18 yr olds, heading off to different colleges. So I decided to decorate half the cake for each of them! Chocolate fudge cake with chocolate mousse filling and buttercream frosting. The curly ribbons are marshmallow fondant. Note: CWI (College of Western Idaho) doesn't really have a mascot, lol. The unicorn is Lind of a joke, apparently its known as the "fake" mascot because the logo looks like a unicorn horn, ha ha. I didn't want it to look too feminine, so I loosely modeled it after the BSU Bronco. : )

Some good luck cupcakes for a coworker going back to school! Vanilla cake, buttercream frosting and marshmallow fondant flowers. Mmmmm! Sprinkled on a few sugar pearls and painted a little edible shimmer dust on the flower centers. Just love to make pretty things that taste good too! : )
