Dallas Cowboys Birthday Cake

This is an 11 x 15 german chocolate cake with coconut pecan filling and buttercream frosting. Obviously created for a big Cowboys fan!

Rocky Mountain Grizzly Football Cake

I made this cake for a fundraiser auction. It's an 11" x 15" french vanilla cake with buttercream icing. The bear head and claws are made from rice krispie treats covered with frosting.

I made this cake for a very special niece. It's 2 tiers, both were "funfetti." All buttercream frosting with some paper cutout accents.

Mexican Fiesta Birthday Cake

This festive cake is a two tiered "fun-fetti" cake with buttercream frosting and marshmallow fondant accents (the maracas and the jalapeno peppers are mmf). This was a very fun cake to make! The birthday girl decided what colors she wanted and what she wanted on the cake, but the rest was up to me. I really enjoyed it. Hopefully they enjoy it at the birthday party even more!

11 x 15 half white and half vanilla cake with chocolate cream filling. Buttercream frosting. I used crushed chocolate graham crackers so the top would look like dirt, and there are two wedges of buttercream covered cake that make the ramps the monster trucks are perched on.

Retro Eighteenth Birthday

This is a fun cake I did for a fun loving 18 year old. He wanted bright retro colors, and he wanted it to be about him. So I put him on the cake, with his shades, shorts and tennies, and added a soccer ball, basketball and some books. Lots more to this guy, but could never fit it all on one cake! 3 tiers, all chocolate fudge with chocolate fudge filling. Buttercream frosting with fondant accents.

Wine in a Basket cake

This cake was done for a fiftieth birthday . . . the cake is golden vanilla with cream cheese filling. The "shredded paper" is just grated candy bark, the cake is frosted with buttercream and chocolate buttercream frosting, with marshmallow fondant. The wine bottle (which I would have made a little longer, with a longer neck, if I'd had the time) is chocolate fudge cake, covered in marshmallow fondant, and the grapes are mmf also. :~) This was a fun cake to do!

Welcome Baby Silhouette Cake

This is a golden vanilla cake, with cream cheese filling. Buttercream frosting and marshmallow fondant. The silhouette was hand cut from the mmf. Fun cake for the mom to be!

Beach Boy Cake

I wouldn't call him a beach bum, but here's a little surfin' beach boy, swimming in after catching some waves! This is a vanilla cake, with buttercream frosting and marshmallow fondant accents. The beach is made from crushed vanilla wafers. This is my first little person on a cake! Cake is 11 x 15.

Hawaiian Luau Cake (complete with vacationing penguin!)

This is a BIG cake . . . would feed 75-85 people. Bottom tier is 4 layers of chocolate fudge, middle tier is 2 layers of cherry chip, and top layer is 2 layers of vanilla. Buttercream frosting, with mm fondant accents. The "sand" is crushed vanilla wafers. Tree trunks are pirouette cookies.

Octopus Under the Sea Cake

The theme was just "ocean" so I narrowed it down and went with an octopus as the main attraction . . . we were in Seaside recently and the octopus on display at the aquarium was fascinating, so naturally I gravitated toward that. :~) The bottom tier is a two layer chocolate cake covered in marbled buttercream. The middle is yellow cake, as is the head of the octopus, who is covered in marshmallow fondant. Couldn't resist turning the extra batter into the family of Octopi surrounding the cake!

Fenway Park Cake

This is of course not an exact replica of Fenway Park, but still a fun cake for any Red Sox fan! Sorry, Yankees, the Sox beat you soundly in this game! Two layer chocolate cake, buttercream frosting with fondant accents. The press box and spectator stands are rice krispie treats covered with buttercream and fondant. The "Green Monster" is also rice krispie treat covered in frosting and fondant.
