Christmas Cupcakes
Nothing too fancy, just some simple Christmas-y cupcakes for coworkers. I also did some with wreaths and other tree designs but neglected to get photos of those, somehow. :-/ They were fun and festive, though! :-)

Fairy Barbie Birthday Cake
Another birthday another Barbie cake, lol. Addie requested this fairy Barbie cake, in pinks and purple. Dress made using 1 1/2 batter bowl cakes, stacked. Vanilla cake with vanilla filling. Buttercream frosting with some marshmallow fondant accents.
Beauty and the Beast Belle Barbie Birthday Cake
Will she remember it? Nope. But I bet her momma will, and when Izabella looks back at her childhood photos, I hope she sees this and feels the love. :-) I mean, that is why special cakes are made, right? So someone feels loved.
The barbie's dress here was made using the Pampered Chef batter bowl, and rice krispy treat to fill out the dress (see photos below to see how). Cake is vanilla with raspberry filling. Roses are made from marshmallow fondant. While I was not much of a Barbie fan in my childhood, I've sure had fun with these Barbie cakes, lol.
Rocky Mountain Grizzly Football and Baseball Birthday Cake
Happy 15th to a great kid whose 2 big loves are baeball and football. Cake is French vanilla with French vanilla filling and buttercream frosting. The grizzly head is rice krispy treat. Baseball, bases and football are marshmallow fondant.

Fancy Sweet 16 Birthday Cake
Inspired by the 16 year old who celebrated with it, this cake was jazzed up with silver and white edible pearls. Vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling and buttercream frosting. The 16 is modeling chocolate, and the ribbon is marshmallow fondant.
Camping Retirement Cake
Retirement cake for a sweet employee at work. Obviously, she loves to camp! Cake is chocolate with buttercream frosting and hand formed marshmallow fondant accents. The trees and camp trailer are rice krispy treat covered with frosting/fondant. This was a HUGE cake, fed about 80 people or so . . . Was NONE left! :)

Red Sox Birthday
This was a pretty simple cake for my husband this year. I've done so many cakes for my family, sometimes I think I just can't come up with a new idea, lol.

Pink and Green Zebra Fashionista Birthday Cake
Love love love all my nieces and nephews, and so it makes it a lot of fun to get to make their special cakes for them. The best part is that they usually just give me the theme and general color scheme and let me play with my creativity to make the "cake creation." While I usually have a general direction, I never know exactly how the finished product will look.
For this cake, Gracie wanted zebra stripes, with the main colors pink and green. Here's how it turned out:

Fancy Batman Wedding Cake!
What a fun time I had with this cake! It's similar to a couple of other cakes on the web, but I made the details my own. :)
Top tier is vanilla cake, middle is strawberry and the bottom is lemon. All with French vanilla creme filling. Buttercream frosting, marshmallow fondant accents. I hand piped the scrolling, and did it first in navy blue, then ice blue, loved the effect.
Hand cut the cityscape from mmf, then used yellow buttercream for the "lights." Batman is hand formed from mmf. The effect I was going for was that he was crawling out from under the flowered wedding topper. :)
The wedding couple loved their unique cake, and it fit right in with their fun and creative wedding!

Star Wars Birthday
Lil' Pumpkin Baby Shower Cake
I can't take credit for this cute pumpkin baby shower cake idea. I was commissioned to make it and they sent me a picture. I do think it turned out pretty cute though. The pumpkin itself is two vanilla bundt cakes, the bottom one is turned upside down. They are covered in butter cream frosting. The babies head and pumpkin hat are rice krispy treat covered with marshmallow fondant.

Giraffe Birthday Cake
I LOVE it when an idea you have turns out just like you wanted it to! This is one of those cakes for me. :) I enjoyed making it and really love the result, all for giraffe loving Chelsea's 18th bday. Vanilla cake, raspberry filling, buttercream frosting and marshmallow fondant accents. Giraffe is hand formed and I think turned out perfect.:)
